‘Heritage March-2020’ is going to be organised for the first time with an objective of developing Madhyapurthimi area as the domestic and foreign tourism destination.
Osla Nepal with the support of Madhyapurthimi municipality and collaboration of Nepal Tourism Board is organising the heritage march from March 14 under the slogan ‘Our Heritages, Our Recognition’ on the occasion of Visit Nepal Year-2020.
Mayor Madan Sundar Shrestha said that rally, to be organised with an objective of identifying best heritages and tourism destinations inside Madhyapurthimi and making its publicity, would start from Shankhadhar Chowk and conclude by reaching Nilbarahi Temple after visiting different heritages including Tachhatole, Bishnubir, Balkumari, Bamunetole, Lachhitole, Lokeshwor Temple, Kalika Temple, Mahalaxmi, Khansi Barahi Debu and Tigani. He opined that the heritage march would help to attract domestic and foreign tourists in Madhyapur.
Out of 18 municipalities in the Kathmandu Valley, Madhyapurthimi is in the front in view of protection and promotion of heritages, art and culture. Urging the government to enlist Madhyapurthimi as tourism destination, Shrestha expressed the view that the heritage march would also help in it.
Similarly, Osla Nepal Chair Roshan Bajracharya shared information that the heritage rally was going to be organised with the participation of different organizations working for identifying cultural, historical and tourism destinations of Madhyapurthimi.
Foreign delegates, domestic and foreign tourists, different organisations, local communities and media persons would participate in the march at the initiative of the Nepal Tourism Board VNY-2020 Secretariat, Hotel Association of Nepal, he added.
