The BP Koirala Institute of Health Science (BPKIHS) has brought into operation a help desk for screening corona infection among the patients.
A 12-member rapid response team has been formed under the leadership of BPKIHS director Prof Dr Gauri Shanker Sah. He informed they had set up the desk on Thursday to help prevent possible outbreak of coronavirus and provide treatment to the suspects.
The desk will help coordinate the treatment of patients coming to the BPKIHS with fever and common cold. According to the BPKIHS, the corona infection suspects will be kept in isolation wards for necessary care and service.
The institute has allocated 10 beds and three intensive care units for the service. All safety nets required for personal protection of doctors have also been arranged.
Prof Dr Sah shared safety materials including M-95 mask, gown, thermoscale and glass have been arranged for doctors involved in the treatment of corona infection
