NRNA’s election process begins
The election process to elect new leadership of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has begun at 10:00 am today. The election process had been postponed on Tuesday.
According to NRNA spokesperson, Bhushan Ghimire, the ballot paper has been used as there was debate over using electronic voting machine or ballot paper. The both sides agreed to use ballot paper after holding a long discussion, Ghimire added.
As many as 76 candidates are contesting for 42 posts. There are different six polling stations and the voting will end at 4:00 pm today. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to address the concluding session of world conference and international congress of the NRNA. NRN representatives from 81 countries are attending the congress.
