Fire breaks out at Makhan Galli
Kathmandu : Fire broke out at Makahan Galli of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-18 this afternoon. Police said the inferno took place at the house of local resident Pramod Tuladhar.
The fire which had started at 12:45 pm was brought under control at 3 pm through the joint efforts of the locals and the personnel from Nepal Police, Nepali Army and the Armed Police Force, police spokesman Uttam Raj Subedi said. Four fire trucks belonging to various bodies were pressed into service for dousing the fire. Twenty one -year-old Rajan Thapa of Dolakha was injured in course of putting out the fire. He is now being treated at the National Trauma Centre for burn injuries.
The fire has caused damage to the adjacent few houses also. Locals said that there was a cooking gas store at the location of the fire and some LPG cylinders also exploded due to the fire. Police said they are collecting details of the damage caused by the fire. It is not known how the fire started. (RSS)
