President Bhandari opines for enhancing natural, cultural heritages

Pokhara :  President Bidya Devi Bhandari has opined for preserving and promoting the natural and cultural heritages.

While inaugurating a lift installed at the Bindhyabasini temple amidst a programme here today, the President shared that preserving such heritages will further ensure the future of upcoming generations along with these exemplary tasks.

The lift has been constructed for the convenience of the older persons and persons with disability coming for worshipping at the temple. The lift has been constructed at a cost of Rs 10 million under the aegis of Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea and the Laxmi Group Nepal.  President Bhandari added that the main objective of religion is to enhance helping and service to others.

The Head-of-State further added that the Bindhyabasini site was unique in natural beauty and diversity. She praised the role of Bindhyabasini development committee as it installed the lift at the place
bearing the social responsibility.  Chief of the Gandaki State Baburam Kunwar said that the religion teaches discipline and the discipline helps for effective works.

Similarly, speaking in the same programme, Chief Minister of the Gandaki State Government, Prithvi Subba Gurung, opined for developing the religious circuit linking Triveni, Devghat and Muktinath through Pokhara.  Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Man Bahadur GC demanded for enlisting the city among the 10 most attractive naturally beautiful cities.

The Bindhyabasini Area Development Committee chair Ganesh Bahadur Shrestha said that the area was religiously and culturally important.  On the occasion Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea and the Laxmi Group Nepal representatives were honored by the President Bhandari. (RSS)
