Fire triggers loss worth Rs 30 million
Gaighat : Propertis worth amounting to Rs 30 million was incurred when a fire engulfed a tanker and an excavator of Sourya Cement Factory at Katari Municiplaity-8, Galtar in Udayapur district.
According to SP at District Police Office, Udayapur, Chandra Dev Rai, the fire that suddenly caught the tanker at around 11.00 pm last night also damaged an excavator.
Police and locals took the fire under control with the help of fire engine of Katari Municipality, he informed.
SP Rai also shared that the fire completely damaged both tanker and excavator.
According to the preliminary report of the police, loss worth Rs 30 million was incurred in the incident. Investigation into the incident however is underway, police said.
